Kingdom Protist

Morning, kids!

We are studying the kingdom of protists. Protist is a kingdom quite like a hotchpotch*. Any living thing with eukaryotic cells that is NOT a plant, an animal or a fungus. They can be:

• Heterotrophs or autotrophs
• Mobile or immobile
• Sexually or asexually reproductive
• Unicellular or multicellular.

*Hotchpotch: cajón de sastre, batiburrillo, mezcolanza. En el vídeo dicen "junk draw", que sería ese cajón que tenemos en casa con un montón de cosas diferentes almacenadas. Esto es porque el reino de los protistas realmente contiene un montón de organismos completamente diferentes que sólo tienen en común que son eucariotas y que no son plantas, animales ni hongos.
